Gloom House Event Poster

This is a poster I made for one of my friend's band performances. I made the poster digitally using Procreate. I was given total creative control, so I decided to make something as weird and abstract as I could. To achieve this goal, I decided to focus the poster around wasps because I feel like they are an often overlooked insect and wasps are a very random mascot for a house show. First, I drew the wasp characters, then I created the background wasp grid and a border to frame the poster. For the lettering of the poster, I decided to handwrite instead of using a font because it felt more authentic. I used a darker red for the lettering because it stood out, then I used pink to create an outline. Finally, I used a yellow highlight on the letters.
