Material Rollage

This project is a rollage of two images, one is of wood planks that create a wave pattern, the other is a brick wall with a similar pattern. I cut each photo into strips and laid them down so that no two strips from the same photo were touching. Then I used gesso to create a random cover over the initial image. Finally, I traced over the forms in the image that were unobscured to create a new image.
